I have spent the better part of two decades helping people say things well, usually at the moments when it mattered most that they did.

That sounds tidier than it was. The work was communications, at companies trying to do something unusually ambitious. At Airbnb I led it across Australia and New Zealand, and then across the UK, Northern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, through the hyper-growth years and the reputational moments that came with them. More recently I helped build the voice of Nothing, a young consumer-tech company in London, alongside its founder. I still do this work inside a company every day, and will for the foreseeable.
The rest is simple. I take photographs, mostly of places and the light in them, because paying that kind of attention is its own discipline. I ride and I run. I travel when I can. I am trying, like most people, to live the one life I have reasonably well, and to be present for it. Most of what I think about the work comes out of all that, not the other way around.
I write here when I have something worth saying. I work closely with a small number of people on how they communicate, and what sits underneath it. If any of this resonates, you are welcome to get in touch.
